Peaches are definitely the flavour of summer, wherever you are. this super easy and delicious peach pie will give you exactly the summer feeling which lasts the whole year.

HOW DO YOU MAKE A PEACH PIE?

  1. First, Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit (210 Celsius)
  2. Then, in a large bowl, stir together 3/4 cup of sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Add the peaches in and toss them gently till they are all covered.
  3. Place one pastry in a 9-inch pie plate; spread the butter on pastry. Add the peach mixture to the tin and arrange the peaches evenly to have a nice and flat top.
  4. Cover the top with the crust. Cut small slits on the top to allow the steam out. Seal by pressing the edges together and finish with a fork all around. Decorate if you wish by using the pastry leftovers. To finish, sprinkle the top with 1 tablespoon of sugar.

Bake it for 60 minutes or until it is golden brown and the juices are bubbling up.

CAN I USE FROZEN PEACHES TO MAKE PEACH PIE?

Definitely, let them defrost completely in a sieve and discard any liquid left. This is to avoid the pastry for getting soggy.

TIPS
The best time to make Alabama Peach Pie is summer because you will get the best peaches ever.
You can make it the day before so the filling is set and won’t be runny, although the juices are really great if you are serving it warm with a spoon of ice cream.
If you don’t like cinnamon you can always leave it out, it will still taste incredible!
