23 Easy Instant Pot Ground Beef Recipes

Ingredients

  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 1-1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 2 tbsps tomato paste
  • 1/2 lb fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/3 c all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 c water
  • 1 can (10-1/2 ounces) condensed beef consomme, undiluted
  • 1-1/2 c sour cream

Instructions

  1. Set your pressure cooker to the “saute” setting and adjust to medium heat.
  2. Add half of your ground beef and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cook for 6-8 minutes, or until the meat is no longer pink. Once cooked, remove the meat and crumble it before draining any liquid from the Instant Pot. Do this again with the leftover meat.
  3. Next, add mushrooms, butter, and onions to the pressure cooker and cook until they are tender (approximately 5 minutes). Add garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Add meat to the cooker and top with tomato paste and beef consomme. Hit the “cancel” button on your pressure cooker, lock lick, and close the pressure-release valve. Adjust it to cook on high for approximately five minutes.
  5. Then, select the saute setting and adjust for lower heat.
  6. In a separate bowl, mix water and flour and pour batter over the meat. Stir and cook until the sauce thickens. Add sour cream (or your alternative) until fully heated.
  7. Serve with your favorite side dishes and enjoy.
